The Infernal Tetra, scientifically designated as Hyphessobrycon infernalis, is a breathtakingly rare and highly coveted wild-type freshwater fish perfect for dedicated aquarium hobbyists. Native to the soft, blackwater streams of the Serra do Cachimbo region in Pará, Brazil, this collector-level characin is renowned for the intense, fiery dark-red body colouration displayed by dominant alpha males. To bring out their most vibrant, blazing colours and natural shoaling behaviours, they should be housed in an established, heavily planted aquarium complete with dark substrate, driftwood branches, and floating vegetation to diffuse the lighting.
